Photo is real!
Approximately 80 forged layers. Nickel + Copper.
Sanded with 400 grit. Acid etching was done for the development of the drawing.
Mokume-gane, or "wood-eye metal," is a labor intensive an old world Japanese metal smithing technique.
It involves layering different colored metals together then using heat and pressure to cause the metals to fuse together.
Once fused the piece is carved into a topography and flattened to create the beautiful patterns.
Item looks good and solid. Fast shipment and nice price. PERFECT!!
A great product, thank you
Looking forward to using it in one of my jewellery or craft projects.
Looks like a high quality billet. I haven’t ground it yet. But have high hopes. Good communication, will buy again
