These blanks were welded and soaked in linseed oil. The year of processing is 2017.
It's an old technology, rarely used now. Now the oil is completely dry (crystallized). When heated (machining or grinding) - the smallest drops of oil will appear on the surface. Wipe the product after machining and let it dry. Important: the aroma of linseed oil is present! It will always be in this tree, it is a specific technology.
All our timbers are dry.

A typical color change and darkening of wood lie in its nature.
