Collection: BOG OAK
Bog Oak, also known as abonos and morta, especially among pipe smokers, is a material of trees that have been buried in peat bogs and have survived from rotting in acidic and anaerobic bogs, sometimes for hundreds or even thousands of years. The wood is usually painted brown and black thanks to the tannins dissolved in acidic water. It is a rare form of wood that is said to be "comparable to some of the world's most expensive tropical woods".
